The City of Winsted has created a downtown facade program in order to stimulate private sector investment for the beautification of commercial structures located in the downtown area. Under the program’s guidelines, a property may be eligible for grant funding of up to $5,000 dollars in forgivable loan dollars for approved exterior improvements. Program dollars will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis, thus interested individuals and/or parties should complete an application quickly if interested.
